Canadian Lakehead Exhibition Track Facts:
The Canadian Lakehead Exhibition (CLE) is just that, an Exhibition that was home to a 1/2 mile oval horse track. The first car race at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition was approximately 1914. During the 1920’s and 1930’s there were more automobile racing events at this facility .
During the late 1930’s and early 1940’s the interest in racing dropped off due to the war and the Great Depression but by the 1950’s and 1960’s the stock car racing at the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition was in full swing ran by the Lalehead Stock Car Club.
